Trek into the Queer: Funny, subversive queer themed cross stitch pattern (Star Trek parody) Instant download Star Fleet insignia comm badge
Star Trek has always been queer. It has always pushed the envelope of progressive ideas and representation, so it's not surprising that so many people can trace their earliest inklings of their queer identities back to experiences with Star Trek. As with any mainstream media, the property sometimes shines and sometimes falters at representation, but on the whole its work has helped many people feel seen. This pattern tongue-in-cheekly (cheekily?) celebrates that history of representation and progress. It would make a great present for that queer trekkie in your life. And who doesn't love a play on words? Trek can be a verb or a noun, and queer can be a noun or an adjective, and the text of this plays around with those meanings.
Live Loud and Prosper, friends.
