Get ready to stitch the fuck out of this See You Next Tuesday pattern. With its classic antique stylings and delicate (but obscene) text, this instant PDF download will make for a hilariously unique cross stitch project. Perfect for those who don't take themselves too seriously (or anyone who loves to swear).

I am not generally a fan of euphemisms, as almost anyone who knows me can tell you. Consequently, I like to take the opportunity to short-circuit them whenever I can. This is an example of that since (in case you didn't know), "See you next tuesday" (or C U Next Tuesday) is a euphemistic backronym[1] for "cunt".

The border of this pattern was inspired by Victorian wallpaper borders, again providing a pleasing juxtaposition with the content. Juxtapositions are my jam.

[1] Acronym created after the fact. There are two main types of backronyms: first, attempts at amateur etymology to explain words' origins—In the nineties it was popular for people to assert that the word "fuck" was an acronym of either "for unlawful carnal knowledge" or "fornication under consent of the king"; second, giving things names that serve the creation of a desired acronym (SHIELD in the Marvel Universe being an example, but my favorite being the atmospheric phenomenon STEVE, which is a whole story on its own.)

My model stitch is shown on 28ct linen over 2 (effective 14ct) in a 5x7 photo frame I got at a thrift store owned by the Mormon church. Not that that matters, but it does make it a little more delicious for me as a recovering mormon.
