Better Living Through Mad Science cross stitch pattern - instant PDF download

Starting in 1935, DuPont chemical corp was using the slogan "Better Things for Better Living  ...Through Chemistry" To try to put the public at ease about how big of a company DuPont was. Turns out our fears were justified but that's a tale for another time. Somehow, they thought this ad was a good idea.

In the 1960's and 70's, psychonauts and other various wags started co-opting the slogan as a euphemism for recreational psychedelic use 

Eventually DuPont dropped the "...through Chemistry" part when they realized how their slogan had been corrupted. It's still used today in this way, but also frequently in reference to mental health prescriptions like antidepressants and ADHD treatments, etc. 

But DuPont's blatant evilness and disregard for public welfare made me think that a mad scientist probably also thinks they're working to improve people's quality of life. ("The World's a mess and I just need to...rule it", as Doctor Horrible says).

This pattern was the result.

It's sized for a 5x7 picture frame on 16ct aida.
