I know a lot of people hate the word (and even more people claim to hate it because it has become fashionable to do so). But I refuse to describe a fucking cake as damp. Nobody rants about "must" or "joist" so it's not about the sounds of the word, and I am convinced that there's a particular association between "moist" or "moisture" and vulvas and vaginas, which is a big part of why it gets so much hate. I can't prove it but that's my hot take: widespread hatred of the word moist has misogynist underpinnings.
This visual style is sometimes called "glitchy" but I have a background in cameras and photography so I know it as chromatic aberration. It's caused by the fact that different wavelengths of light get bent to different degrees by optics. The resulting color fringes follow either RGB additive color theory or CMY subtractive color theory, depending on the lens, image, and medium. The result is mindbending and disorienting for a lot of people.
My mockup is shown to scale on 14ct aida in a 6" embroidery hoop.
