I created this pattern originally based on a one-word prompt: "synechdoche".

Synecdoche is a literary device wherein a piece of something is used to refer to the whole or vice versa) such as saying "nice threads" when you mean "nice clothes" or "new wheels" when you mean "new car".
Did you know that a baby rabbit is not a bunny? It's a kitten! "Bunny" traces back to Scottish slang "bun" for "small cute thing", usually referring to a rabbit's tail. So by calling a rabbit a "bunny," we're comparing to its own tail, or engaging in synecdoche! Likewise, deer hunters will often often refer to a trophy buck by the number of points on its antlers, e.g. an "eight-pointer" like this jackalope.

The jackalope is also based on baby pictures of my bun, Eleanor Shellstr-hop.

My mockup is shown on 18ct aida in a 4x6 frame.
